For their 2011-12 season, the Milwaukee Wave face eight teams in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), newly reconsituted under the umbrella of the United Soccer Leagues (USL).

For the 2011-12 season, the MISL consists of:

Eastern Division
Baltimore Blast
Norfolk SharX
Rochester Lancers
Syracuse Silver Knights

Central Division
Milwaukee Wave
Missouri Comets
Wichita Wings

MISL teams will play 16 games within their division and meet each team from the other division twice in the 2011-12 season.
